Contemplating removing secondary springs for came brake in, if I do I need to borrow a tool from a friend... May rent a spring pressure gage and see what they are running..
My son works on windmill towers and when things go past pull date they throw away but it's still good as far as I can tell by mixing some of it up.I am staying here!
Sure why not. How did you get so much of it?
You should remove them. It's a pain but better than a flat cam lobe.Contemplating removing secondary springs for came brake in, if I do I need to borrow a tool from a friend... May rent a spring pressure gage and see what they are running..
Originally a Woman owned Company out of Chicago. I sold their product for 20 years.....

Good stuff for sure. I didn't know the history but that's impressive. I have a few pieces. Top quality parts I liked to sell. We switched to Standard when Filko went away. Not even close to the same quality. Do you remember 52-90S? Life was simpler back then.Originally a Woman owned Company out of Chicago. I sold their product for 20 years.....![]()

I hadn't heard of Kem until lately. Sorenson was a quality name back in the day.Another good one is Kem and Sorenson
Yes I do. I still remember part numbers and customer phone numbers and account numbers. The V8 52-90s points go with the DR227 condenser, DR157 Ign Rotor and the DR146 Dist Cap....Good stuff for sure. I didn't know the history but that's impressive. I have a few pieces. Customer comes in and says they need tune up parts for their 68 Chevy. You don't even look them up, just walk back and pull them. You were a Parts God in their eyes!
Filko, Standard, Kem, and Sorenson were prevalent on the East Coast.....I hadn't heard of Kem until lately. Sorenson was a quality name back in the day.

On a GOOD day, it's painful. I'm tired of trying to explain to the counter person that the application doesn't necessarily match what they show in their computer.Just go to AutoZone and ask for points today!

If there is even one in the buildingtoday they don’t know how to open a parts book
I buy very little from Rock Auto, usually because I need the parts right away. But I do like to use their website as a source of information on parts. Especially if its an older vehicle, and you know the newbie behind the Big Box Store Counter is clueless... I'll call my parts supplier now and give him numbers for crossover to be sure Im getting what I wanted....On a GOOD day, it's painful. Thats the truth right there. On a GOOD day, it's painful. I'm tired of trying to explain to the counter person that the application doesn't necessarily match what they show in their computer.
