Stop in for a cup of coffee

Getting all coffeed up, and showerd for the big day tie the cam and crank gear together, I triple check before I do, got 1 and six plugs out, we all know 6 fallows number one on the top dead center stroke, crazy but making sure the cam and crank is very happy before I install my cover and water pump, then on to another paint wirh assembly lube, then installation of the ballancer, intake and center grill.. yeah , I know the coffee crew is happy this morning :thumbsup:.

So off to the shop with a tall cup and eyes wide open, enjoy your day everyone, I am going to give it my all and make my boys proud.


Oh, my sons business is booked up threw to August.. so proud

It would maybe fit in a suitcase but it wouldn't come through customs. Or I wouldn't think. That's ok I can get it for like just under $400 but the shipping hurts too

Well, back to the drawing board...rewind 2 years and I'm pulling the transmission out. This time, low gears, no upshift. Thought it might just be high band and kickdown and throttle adjustments but there is a bit of a growl/grind in there as well which could be front pump or other malfunction. Last time I went FAFO I broke my 225, so out she's gotta come. It'll be a couple of weeks before I get to it though. First, because I'm emotionally crushed and pissed....second is that I have a few other things around the house to tend to before I dive into that.

Thinking I should just rebuild that other core that I have and do a swap.

Been looking at the A904 rebuild kits online. So hard to tell what will or won't work for the 64 typewriter version.

Looking at this one from Oregon Performance Transmission A904 Rebuild Kit A998 A999 Automatic Transmission Master Overhaul Banner Box Set Torqueflite 6

Anyone have an option that worked for them? I'm not smart enough to do a bit by bit order from A&A. The kit is way simpler for me as opposed to trying to match up disparate parts.

I want this exhaust for my Hunter Cub. It is half the price there in Viet Nam and Thailand. Hard to get in USA.

Oh man !! This is hart breaking news!!

I have only changed out valve bodies to do any problem repair, sticking valve, springs not being correct or not installed, **** leaver out of place or fell off, hopefully a good teck can say why no uplift to 3rd..

I dunno Tyke. In 8 years I've never been asked anything by Customs in America....I know they scan luggage when It leaves Viet Nam, but not sure about America. I've brought in all kinds of stuff, even from Africa before...

I may need someone to just hit me upside the head when I lose my **** under the car! Thanks Tike.

Once I get the kit picked out I'll need to explore a bit on the other core and decide if I'm going to work with this one or have a uninstall/reinstall party on the same day. Also thinking of going with a Lokar so I have one less thing to jack around with. Dunno
