Stop in for a cup of coffee

I cut down the Holly tree by the front door. Took all down to the neighbors burn pile. Was a nice tree, but got bigger than I anticipated. Was at the point I really couldn't cut it back without killing it -and had enough getting jabbed trying. Way too big to transplant... Will see what I'm doing with the roots (if anything) tomorrow.

You looking for any Rose of Sharon . They are sprouting up all over here.

I got my order in from Detroit Muscle so I was messing with my 64 this afternoon. I got a few things done. Just small parts and projects. One piece at a time making it better.

1) Quarter glass vertical weather-strip. It will be nice to not get the inside wet when it rains or with the garden hose. The old ones were originals and not much left. I also adjusted the drivers door a little tighter. It might need some other adjustments but it's much better now.

2) Front turn signal lenses. They were originals, all cloudy and one was scratched. The housings were crusty inside and the original gaskets were shot. I was thinking about LED's but they aren't really needed with new lenses and some cleaning.

3) I did get my mirror installed. I didn't plug the extra hole. I'll see how that goes later.

4) A small thing but license plate nuts and screws. I couldn't get them in the slots in the rear. The clips were too stiff or the slots are smaller than the standard squares punched like in the front bumper.

5) I drilled out the holes for the ignition ECU and installed 1/4" Nutserts. Boy that is much nicer! The sheet metal screws wouldn't tighten down and the ECU needs a good ground. I also rerouted the wiring to the distributor so it looks better.

6) I cut the strap off the battery and discovered there is no hold down. No biggie. It's on the list. I did order a sticker and cap kit from Wescar on E bay. That should spruce things up under the hood.

7) I crawled under and looked at the shocks. It bounces wonky over bumps so it must be the alignment. I'll have the wheels balanced and the front aligned. It looks like all new steering linkage. I hope the PO did all the bushings as well. The shocks look like new, front and rear. I bounced all 4 corners and no bouncing. The rear springs look new as well. Score!

Sorry to rattle on so long. I like to post photos to save on my computer and a timeline of what I do. I can also copy and paste this to my thread on B bodies. Got to make it easy!

My electrical and choke repairs worked well. I pumped it a couple times and it spun about a half turn and lit right up.

Busy day their Mike but to me it's a fun day enjoying our hobby. Looking good...

I walk 3 to 6 miles a day at work. This past two weeks I'm getting a break because I'm working on a man lift most of the day. Here is today at lunch time. I still get called away from the lift. I should be skinny but no still dieting and 265lbs. Arthritis sucks! Next year I retire. Gotta get a handle on things. 2nd pic is a typical day.

I have a watch and a fit bit that does that, my biggest day on my record is 8 thousand one day, needles to say my wife and I was at a big car swap meet up in Springfield MO, two years ago, pain meds and hot tub getting 10 hours of good sleep, last year I had my electric cart with a wagon, my wife rented one and still put 6 thousand steps in, I quit wearing it this year.

-27 is a great accomplishment. I really need to lose that or more. Was on a good trend last year, but back almost where I started. Getting back at it again...
I did the same thing winter of 2023, got back to 209, was 195, never again, cut chitty bread out, nothing but sour doe bread when I do have a PB&J sandwich, I never eat package meat if possible, zero beer and fruit of some kind everyday and plenty of greens. Oatmeal and blue berries, and a banna every day with a build egg breakfast (most of the time Banana and boild egg) to take my meds that made me feel young again.

Good luck and keep at it, if you was wondering, yes I love myself  its needed

I never noticed the front turn signals, those are very good looking and I must say you have
yourself a great ride there Mike
Happy to see you in one and enjoying it, she sounds happy to be with you.

I forgot the ECU photos. Well, I didn't take a pic of the finished product. :BangHead:

Check out my new rubber flap for the cowl drain. LOL

The last photo is an old one before today's fix.

All right! One step closer. My seat belts are shipping! Just got a tracking number.

So i managed the power distribution box delete. Thinking 3 or 4 maxi fuses should do it. Harness is all figured out, i wrapped a bunch of wire, a mistake on my part. I know i have to add more wires to the harness.
