No no.. b-body is perfect for him.. if he was meant to be with the e-body guys he would be talking about getting the exact electrons in your wires that came out of the factory in 1970...... and then having Galen verify that they are the correct electrons at a cost of $1250 :)

Has anyone ever removed the dowel pins for the front timing cover to make it easier to replace the cover without removing the pan? Or do one of you have a good recipe on how to do it best?

They make a dowel pin remover tool, but it is much like a puller with a rod and a weight on it. You probably don't have enough room to operate it. There must be some way to grab a hold of the pin and pry it from behind maybe.. I have never done one up close but I have pulled many of those dowel pins from flywheels that needed to be resurfaced.

Heliarc (lightly) a nut or washer onto the end then gently pry it out.

I cleaned my door mechanisms and lock cylinders... things were gummed with old grease and wouldn't move.. like new now.. soo that's my 20 mins in the garage today...

Next plans are to set the timing.. and rub the doors out.. eventually will get the door panels back in
