It looks like my carb kit may be here on Monday. I can't wait to get into that carb to see what is floating around inside.

I was going the 4 barrel route but found out that Weiand doesn't work well on stock Polys. They don't turn on until 3-3500 rpm. Good for a modded engine but not a bone stocker like mine. The OEM cast 4 barrel intakes are dual plane and work much better but they are hard to find and you have to run an adapter for a AFB and hog out the carb opening.. They were designed for the WCFB carbs and won't bolt on or work without modifications. I'll stick with my 2 barrel.awesome.. getting some hesitation and all the fun old carb stuff? I really wanna try a holley or afb on mine to see if it picks up the power it's missing but don't wanna dump 500+ into one.. gonna keep an eye on the marketplace
And something else.Gasoline ????![]()
yup.. keep it stock forever... mine will be back that way eventually.. just gotta hate the current build firstI was going the 4 barrel route but found out that Weiand doesn't work well on stock Polys. Tim has my weiand action plus .
i always found that design a bit odd, it seems like the front and rear cyls would be leaner than the mids
They made good manifolds. The old Polys only had Offenhauser or Weiand manifolds available. I haven't seen any other brands available for them other than the one made for a few short years from Chrysler Power.Tim has my weiand action plus .
I think so too.i always found that design a bit odd, it seems like the front and rear cyls would be leaner than the mids
They are going for 4-$500 still.
silliness... for a cruiser i wouldn't touch it.. it just worksThey are going for 4-$500 still.

Need to buy them and other Int Parts for my 65 Belvedere
When I finally get back on the Belvedere , I want to paint it Gunmetal Gray and have Red Interior.....yeah.. can't buy '62 ones.. have to send them in for SMS to make new ones from scratch for like 1k... i hate not having a complete interior.. right now i'm just missing the door panels and kick panels to put in. I bought a spare pair of arm rests, they are black which i might just leave.. stock were gray. won't match the rears though
