Stop in for a cup of coffee

It looks like my carb kit may be here on Monday. I can't wait to get into that carb to see what is floating around inside.

awesome.. getting some hesitation and all the fun old carb stuff? I really wanna try a holley or afb on mine to see if it picks up the power it's missing but don't wanna dump 500+ into one.. gonna keep an eye on the marketplace

I was going the 4 barrel route but found out that Weiand doesn't work well on stock Polys. They don't turn on until 3-3500 rpm. Good for a modded engine but not a bone stocker like mine. The OEM cast 4 barrel intakes are dual plane and work much better but they are hard to find and you have to run an adapter for a AFB and hog out the carb opening.. They were designed for the WCFB carbs and won't bolt on or work without modifications. I'll stick with my 2 barrel.

yup.. keep it stock forever... mine will be back that way eventually.. just gotta hate the current build first :)

I have 2. I sure do wish they were dual plane intakes.

Tim has my weiand action plus .
They made good manifolds. The old Polys only had Offenhauser or Weiand manifolds available. I haven't seen any other brands available for them other than the one made for a few short years from Chrysler Power.

think i'm gonna take my door panels home and get them back on... got them at flattened out as i could, been off for years now. Some discoloration in the gray i can't fix.. but good enough...

Need to buy them and other Int Parts for my 65 Belvedere

yeah.. can't buy '62 ones.. have to send them in for SMS to make new ones from scratch for like 1k... i hate not having a complete interior.. right now i'm just missing the door panels and kick panels to put in. I bought a spare pair of arm rests, they are black which i might just leave.. stock were gray. won't match the rears though
