And here we are in Iowa. We rank 10th. nationally in production and 4th. nationally with cattle on feed (think grain fed Prime Beef)
And I can't buy a Tri-tip steak here.

Tri Tips were a real head scratcher to me when I moved up here. are these things? That is until I tried them. I was told that mostly they got ground up for hamburger and this part of the Ca Coast was the only place they could be found on a regular basis. You couldn't beat the price on them, wasn't unusual to find them at $.99/lbs when hamburger was $1.50/lbs. "Nobody wants those ugly things. Throw 'em in the grinder."

Always fun to take Tri Tips to places unfamiliar with them along with some Red Oak bark for the fire to cook them over. The aroma seems to gather a lot of attention

Agreed. Just walked outside and checked. 94 deg here also. But 79 deg in the Shop right now. I will leave the Overhead doors closed today and organize Parts to go to Pennsylvania......

Took the Hemi Express to get sniffed so I can pay DMV a large sum of money for that little piece of colorful adhesive tape with 2026 printed on it I always make sure vehicle is up to operational temp before the sniff job so off to town I went. 8:30 AM in lovely Southern California, third day of summer, coffee cup in the cup holder, and the heater on HIGH .
