Good morning :D

Sick mind here saw something suggestive in that weather map :realcrazy:
Crazy weather guessers  Memphis gets "EXTREME HEAT" warning at 99°.
Death Valley at 109° no warnings  just a normal day.

Well this heat has got the best of me. I am going to put a mini split in the instructors lounge out in the shop. Basically 40x15.The humidity is destroying everything out there. Anybody put one in lately? I am figuring 4k tops if I do it?
Did one at the cabin. Had an electrician install the 220 drop but everything else i did on my own. Drilling the hole and keeping the precharged lines from being kinked while passing through the wall was the most tedious to do solo.

Mr. Cool from Lowes. Single zone is around $2200. Dual starting at about 3K

Pretty flexible on the size and style. Cabin had vaulted ceiling so the tonnage calculations aren't the best.

What size? I'm an (ex) commercial HVAC Tech, but now "driving a desk" (sales).

Looks good. How did the crusties come out of the inside? I paid $100 for a carb at the Nats one year and it was so bad inside I threw it out. I couldn't even unscrew the main jets.
Cleaned up good my finger feels smooth metal and the dark color will not come off on my finger, I say it was a good clean, waiting on my Walker rebuild kit to come in.

Pictures as promised

I live in the dark area northeast corner, yes, very hot yesterday, and the two days before that, looks like it's hanging around threw to next Tuesday.

The CLs had the high chrome pipes. The SLs had the low black pipes. Black pipes started low finished high.
I might be reading this wrong but all the SL bikes had pipes up high, black with maybe a chrome garden, owned a Sl125, Sl175, Xl 250 back in my tean years to get to work before mom and grandma, sneaking a cigarette or two, my all time favorite for my 145 lb short frame was my 550K Four, 4 to one header, never lost a two telephone pole race, even a cb750 with a 900 kit,
Fit me perfectly at 5'8" tall 146lbs.

Yep mine had the high pipes I don't remember what year I had but it sure brings back good memories.
Cl was chrome pipes, nicer big heat shield, Slater came all the way up to the rear of the seat, Cb was lower and street bike like the Cl, but the CL could hit dirt roads and easy trails. SL head light and small blinkers, these are usually removed on purpose, or knocked of .. love your build bike, easy rider and plenty of speed.

Mike, The only thing I'd be concerned about is the pits that that white corrosion causes. Especially in the round accelerator pump area. The pits can cause fuel to leak past the pump bellows....
