That makes zero sense, our home is right at 3,000sqf. Sheetrock Labor, material AND insulation was less than 1/2 of your 50k bid. And we just got done so can’t be timing.

It’s supply and demand. Most builders around here are booked solid and have been for years now. So the stupidity of labor rates have skyrocketed due simply to that. 5 years ago, it was 7800 bucks including materials for drywall and paint.

I got a guy coming out to bid asphalt on our driveway, aprox 15ft across by 3/4 mile long. If bid is attractive enough I will do a shop apron 60ft by 30ft. I fear I will not like the price.

Around here, ICE has been raiding hard.

Keep in mind, officially our county has 18,000 population total. However, if you look at just public school enrollment and the number of individuals treated at our local hospital that list our county as their residence, that number is close to 35,000.

Coincidence or not, but last year, our county fair was slammed with non-English speaking folks from south of the border. This year, I’ve barely seen any. Might by the DHS and ICE tent set up at the front gate… might just be coincidence
