Stop in for a cup of coffee

Some of the kits I built when I was young are comical now, Orange frames, tinted windows and spare parts under leaf springs to raise em up. And the old customizing kits.

a friend retired, sold both his cars and downsized. now he's building the "models of his youth". may take time to find some of the kits and get over sticker shock.

I had a bunch of balsa planes. They actually flew A FEW TIMES? COX cars and planes were fun also but made you dizzy!
I was good at crashing them! Testors had a line of gas powered planes. they were the easiest to fly; you had to "whip" them they were so slow. I think the leading/pulling on the lines was the only thing that kept them in the air.

It begins! Finally. After nearly a decade of planning.

Yeah... spinning in circles holding the cable wasn't something you did for long periods. Did do a glider... that was huge
Had a friend when I was a teen that had a jet powered plane and one loud SOB. was connected to cable and dam he could fly that thing.

Back from body shop, guy showed me my likely "overhead storage" above the bay my Duster will be in when it comes out of storage. He asked if I had chosen a color, said he worked at a place in Texas that did "million dollar restorations" and how surprised he was when a guy doing that had no idea what color he wanted the car. Said he would suggest "areola pink", his boss didn't like him doing that lol!
