Stop in for a cup of coffee

So many people decide they want a “cop” dog and they get a German Shepard or a Belgian Malinois And they do not understand the breed at all, much less what it is like to live with one. Next thing ya know they are at a shelter giving the dog away. There is about a million Shepard rescue outfits in every state. It is so sad. I literally run mine 2.5 to 4 miles every single day rain or shine. Then standard commands all day. Every day is a training day for them. Either they are training you or you are training them, but you must decide! Hah! If you do not want to be alpha I can assure you they will fill the void. Great breed but not for everybody. Seems every time Jodi leaves on biz she comes home to another Shepard! It’s not my fault really.

My first wife and I had a Belgian Malinios (from a breed rescue), and she was the best dog I ever had. I think about her every day. Truly. Anyway, I distinctly remember the Vet telling me, on our first check-up, that if I didn't give the dog a job, she'd find one for herself. And he was right, and she did....often. Smart dog.

RIP, Judy. I miss you dearly.
