I guess you're trying to keep us out of the ditch. NO Jim you are intitled to your opinion and not pushing it. Glad to have you around my friend.Thank you, gentlemen. This really is a special place, and I’d hate to tarnish it any way.

No hard feelings! Believe me, I told him he's asking for it, bringing it to Mopar events. The young guys all love it, even at the mopar shows but he's taken some pretty hard heat from some of the older ones. I helped him and showed him the ways on his first Dart. got him into welding and now he's a professional TIG welder in a high-end company, not car-related though. When he got the second car and wanted to build it, I told him he was gonna have to do everything himself this time, and pay for it all. He was 16 when he bought it and tore into it. New floors, torsion cross member, truck floor and he put the AMD drivers quarter panel on it without using any body filler except on the rocker seam. He did a **** ton of work all on his own. It's not my cup of tea but he loves it and he also seams to enjoy ruffling feathers of the purists. I don't encourage any of that. LOL he just turned 21 and bought his own place on 11 acres with a nice shop. He's learned a lot. The car has a 6.5 second certified cage in it. His long term plans is a big block chevy motor and to make it as fast as he can and streetable as well as drag racing. He wants to do drag week. It's already got a trailer hitch. He's got plenty of trouble to get into and I'm sure he will. LOLI didn't know that, thanks Pete!
I absolutely love Doug's car, and if his "kid" did all of the work on his A-body, I tip my hat to both of them: Doug for "teaching", and The Kid for "learning/doing". Despite my earlier comments, it's really nice see some of the younger "kids" showing an interest in cars, and I sincerely hope I didn't insult either of them too much....
(But an LS in an A-body? C'mon! That's just asking for it!)
Thanks Rani! I've been around and posted a full thread last year when I added a GV overdrive to my car. I browse the site pretty much every day but don't tend to post much unless I'm doing something more to my car. I took it to the Mopar Showdown at Rock Falls Dragway a few weeks ago. Man, was that a fun day!Hi Doug @MobileCustoms feels like it's been years since I've seen you post.
Great to see you still around all these years later
Good to see you're still here, too! I was gonna go check out your profile to see some of your older posts, but I must be on the creeper list.Hi Doug @MobileCustoms feels like it's been years since I've seen you post.

You are a good dad Doug and did a hell of a good Job on that Cuda. I have 6 sons and they all have their own ideas on making a car. Most like rice grinders and think I should put a 4 banger on steroids in my Scamp. No way.....No hard feelings! Believe me, I told him he's asking for it, bringing it to Mopar events. Not that it matters, but he's my stepson. His own dad left him high & dry when he was 12 or 13 so I've done my best to step in and give him some self-confidence. We butt heads plenty but he's growing up. He just wants to go fast on his own terms. He knows he's gonna get **** for his car from the older guys. I give it to him too. It's all good. At least he's not a druggie, alcoholic or furbaby who needs to piss in a litter box! And I'm glad to have some of my shop space back!
ps... always try to remember, it's a small world!

Vietnamese ( Tu Sau )Whats a Friday?
There are plenty on that street. That's the only place that Westerners know to go in Saigon. The Vietnamese people call them Tay Balo ( Back Packers ). But it's really a mixed crowd. A lot of local Vietnamese go there at night to drink and party and have funI spy another white guy!
