C got to ride in my car from the show saturday afternoon back to the hotel, had her laughing and grinning from ear to ear....we did a few burnouts and wound the 340 out....will always remember that weekend....I had a little buzz from TM Mikes Whiskey so I took it pretty easy.....:burnout:

Pete and I had so much fun with Mike and at the show ...meeting other members is the best and I hope more get a chance to meet up in the future! I would still like to make a road trip sometime and crash at members houses on the way for a night or 2 and get to know some new members....I love road trips and have many miles racked up over the years, took a trip to the east coast, west coast and took the costal HWY from San Fran all the way to Oregon ....that was awesome....I want to make more memories like that!

That sounds like fun Keith. I flew down to Dallas and drove my last tool truck home. It would be a adventure to buy a car from the coast and drive it home. If the tranny goes out so what. get it fixed, hang out with the locals and continue on.

Had a good day at work. Got home, little woman had fried chicken, mashed taters & gravy, green beans and biscuits ready. Poured me a 40 Creek, ate and now just chillin on the deck. Life is pretty good today.

I just spent an hour looking for agates in the rain near my house where they are making concrete for the highway, tons of rocks are piled everywhere and agates are plentyful! Found 7 nice ones, too had the sun didn't come out, the number would have been way higher and more fun :glasses7: but that's ok, more to add to my collection :cheers:

At the cabin tonight having some drinks, was by the fire and took some time out to sit on the dock and stare up at the stars....just saw a bright shooting star streak across the sky :glasses7:
Bourbon, banana liqueur, milk, vanilla ice cream, ice...put in the blender. Just got off work, don't go back till Wed, I'm happy and will sleep well.

just riding down the road in the car with the window down and the wind in your face and hair, on the road alone with no other cars to be seen for miles and just a sweet buzz of a slant six is enough to be a moment of beauty to never forget.

The only thing better than that is listening to the humm of a 340 engine LOL..... But it's all about the mood and the setting and who you are with, sometimes it's good to be alone like I am now
