Crown and soda, great choice. I'chaim? I gotta ask...

'Historic' Hebrew...(depending on which linguist You ask)

" To Life ", (pronounced, roughly, la heim, as in heim joint & la, in la tee daa)

I like the context however, "l'chaim" is used to toast Honor & Respect...

Apologies for the long winded reply, now back to Coctails! Yarrrr !!!

Having some Captian now....busy last few days with car show stuff, thurs night had a cruise, last night a show and one today. My dad (FISHYPETE) won 1st place at both shows, first time the 66 Barracuda has been taken out and started since last fall and really emotional since my mom passed away in March.....this is my Dads first car and its the same car my parents dated in and grew up in, then later restored and went to shows together with.....so without Mom here its really hard. The car show on Friday was a big show and they put a picture of his Cuda on the dash plaques. The show today was at a local church also had his car on the plaques and trophies....the show was dedicated to the memory of my Mom and another local car guy....this was heart-warming to see. I also won an award with my Valiant and here are some pics :glasses7:

Sorry I didn't take pics of the show cars, there were many sweet cars and a TON of Mopars but I just wasn't in a "picture taking" mood.....

Thank-you! I searched sooo long for one , then gave up! Then it fell right in my lap. It is a crazy story, but, then again, every car has a great story! Thanks again for the compliment! Shane

I have that exact car but in a wagon

is yours a RH23 or RP23 sport ?

I actually have the sport wagon RP45

I never even knew they made sport wagons before I heard of this one ...it has the GTX grille and woodgrain dash.

I think its a little darker blue but I would have to look at the fender tag

Thanks for sharing this, Keith, very wise and brave of Pete to celebrate your Mom's life by showing their Barracuda.

I don't mean to put thoughts or words into dads mind or say how he felt but without even asking him how he felt and knowing how he and I felt about presenting the car I knew it would and was gonna be emotional (I teared up when I seen their car) Thanks :glasses7:

Mike, I have another Saturday Night You Pick from the vault I bet you remember. The intro is slow but then the lady gets people up on their feet!

I have a DAMN good buzz LOL.....cheers :glasses7:

That's good to hear, Keith. Tonight, now that the full Moon is past, feels totally different than last night, it's like all the tension has been released. I only had one airplane bottle of Jim Beam in my pocket to sip as soon as I left work, but it did the trick.

I know about your little booze bottles.....LOL

And it sure does feel totally different than last night for sure.........:glasses7:

This is why I always argue to non-car people that these cars are more than just tin.

Each car has a story as unique as its owner or owner(s).

The little 66 Barracuda is suddenly a sweeter car to me now that I see it really means something to someone. It matters little as to what year it is or what make and model, its the story and life behind it.

When has any other possession made such emotion.....I never heard people say "yea grandmas toaster really looked sweet at the show and made me think of her"

I hope you guys continue showing the Barracuda along with your other cars and keep the memory alive and share with others as you are doing since we are all together in this crazy thing called life.

Its so nice to hear that a nice car has brought so much meaning and memory to this site.

you guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

Darn dog beer farts again, Harley get out of the shop! And keep away from my beer!

Congrats to Pete and you too. That is such a gripping story. It's great that your mom's memory continues through that 66 Barracuda. Cheers my friends.

Nice Pete, My john Deere has a plaque on it for my dads memory to remind me what he did to make me a man..

That is sweet! I love that grill! 68' are my favorite. I don't believe i've ever seen a sport wagon either. I would have guessed somebody robbed parts off one, for a front end repair back on track the day. Do you have any better pictures. I think it's the same color, my camera skills just suck.lol
