Strange clicking noise...

I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, becuase I have absolutely no idea what the problem could be. But, when I accelerate, I hear a strange clicking noise on the driver side. The more gas I give, the faster it clicks. The clicking sound doesn't exist when the car sits at idle. Any clue what the problem coul be?('71 dodge demon 340 w/AC)

Really, can you jack up the car and see if it is from the front or back, sounds wheel related.

or a loose bolt on the flex plate, bad u joint?

zip tie on the drive shaft???
I would go with an exhaust leak. Do you have headers?

thnx everyone for your help.... I'm gonna get it up on a lift at a shop by my job tomorrow morning and find out exactly what's going on. I'll keep u all updated

if you have aluminum wheel check the lug nuts.

u guys were right. a few bolts on the headers were lose. tightened them up, problem solved.:cheers: boy do i feel dumb.
