A buddy of mine recently purchased a 71 Dart Swinger Special,it was special ordered with a 318/2 three on the tree,3:55 8 3/4 pos.bare boned.what would the oddities be of very many of them built that way.

But you would sometimes find odd cars. A lot had to do with insurance cost. A neighbor bought a 72 Duster with 340/3 speed in the floor because the insurance was much cheaper than the 4 speed. The insurance company's have some strange ideas. I had a 66 Nova 327/3 speed wild cam and Hookers that would jerk the front wheels with M/T's on the rear. They rated it along with the 6 cyc cars.
It's all about #'s with them. Rare car.
