3 years ago I passed on joining a band because I felt the other members were to young and would have a hard time booking shows. I was in my mid 20s they were 18 and 19 Y/O. Tomorrow they release there first album on a major record label and Saturday they release there first music video on MTVs headbangers ball. :butthead:

There's a lot of things we should have done differently and sometimes our "destiny" just sucks. However, I'm sure there's "some" downfalls in that line of work that you won't have to worry about now Adam. (One being, like those thousands of babes drooling all over you) Sorry, didn't mean to rub it in!

THat sucks, They say the best things come to thoes who wait, not sure how that works tho, i waited till november to buy 8.90 tortion bars and they jumped from $170
in octoer to $320 in nov. go figure. soory i'll stop rambling now

So you would be on tour, in a studio or doing a gig somwhere and not have any time to play with the Scamp or any other Mopars. So who's got it better now? I would say your family.

So now they will probably have to tour. How would your family have handled that?

Yeah, thats the another reason I didnt Join. Jacob was just born. They have been on the road for 2 years all ready so I would have missed out on Jake growing up and Mya would probpably not be here. It worked out for the better. :headbang:

Keep up with your musical skills Adam and enjoy them even more when you get older.
I did not start playing with a band until almost 30 year's old and I enjoy it more know. :headbang:
Just look at onehellofadart he is going stronger then ever at his age.

Sorry Tony. :salute:

Hey Mike was that you calling me onehellofanoldfart? :axe:

:tongue2: LOL!!!!

LOL, I actually haven't played much in the last few years. Not much time right now but I'l l get back to it some day.

Adam, dammit...you coulda been a r& r star! Well Muddy Waters died pretty old, and nobody really knew him that well until the English rockers started playing his stuff. You still have time.
I wanted to be in a band, but I can't sing or play guitar...and how can you get chicks to dig you for that?

Never look back on what you think you missed out on. I say this because of the state your in now. You would have missed on all of that. Is constant touring ok with you? Now what about the wife and the kid? You could possible have both, but that dosen't allways make the grass greener. It's just a different shade. And one that may not work with the life style you want.

You can paint the house, change the furnishings, but you can't paint the grass.

Cudaspaz has a excellent point. Who knows, you could have joined the band and made it to a point of ethier bad drug addiction and/or getting kicked out of the band. Then you would have possibly missed out on both.

No go play ball with the young one and tickle the crap out of them.

or getting kicked out of the band.

Been there, done that. I was kicked out, later our lead guitar player ended up on Star Search & his band won on their first night, lost on their second night. They also played on a movie soundtrack. Last I heard he's back in our home town, not doing much. He'd probably be pumping gas if they still had that kind of job in Kansas. :) But, man, that sucker could play guitar!

I`ve always heard: What do you call a guy who hangs out with musicians? ..........a drummer...........and Adam would the Beatles have been the Beatles with Pete Best? Who knows, maybe...maybe not, so don`t beat yourself up for it. Enjoy what you`ve got and make the best of it.

What did the drummer get on his S.A.T.s ?

Drool :toothy7:

Depends on your point of view. If you look at it as a money thing or dream thing, maybe you made wrong choice. If you look at it in a family thing or a responsible thing you made the right choice. Because sometimes you can't have both.

I was offered a job as a crew member for a team that ran a Top Fuel dragster and Top Alcohol funny car in the early '90s. It would have been the start of my desire to be either a crew chief or a driver, but... I had to sons under 4 yrs old and we all know how long these guys stay on the road so... thanks for the offer but I have to decline. I have no regrets.

Chuck

I actually dont regret it. I just like to ***** ! LOL I was just shocked to here it.

Ok!! I will just keep on playing the drum's
Because I never took no S.A.T tests.
And what the heck douse S.A.T's stand for anyway? :butthead:
Silly Application Test. :toothy7:

In Washington State in 1980 you had to take and pass the SAT's to graduate. I took the english one twice. It was multiple guess and I had the wrong pattern of the dots on the card the first time.

Chuck

Mike, I never took them either. For all I know I could be a Genius.
