I have a 74 Duster with LBP disc brakes on it and a front end with less than 1000 miles on it. I want to take the new front end and all the disc break conversion parts and put them on my 66 Dart.

Will all these front end parts interchange? I would like to put the old parts from the 66 back on the Duster so I can still move it around. Is that possible?

Thanks.

I,m sure you can swap all the brake, control arms parts over, but the other front-end parts will not be interchangeable.(centerlink, tierods are all bigger, wider)

This is true, the inner tie rods, drag link, pitman arm and idler arm won't interchange. But the outer tie rod ends and all the control arms, spindles and brakes will work. The sway bar brackets will be in a different location on the lower control arms though but will work without a sway bar.

Thanks alot guys for the info. I will probably attempt this today or
tomorrow.8)

There is actually a sway bar on the Duster. If I take the Lower Control Arms from it, will I be able to use them and the sway bar on my 66?
That would be great!

I have been working on them since 7am and just came in to take a break.

The 74 swaybar goes through a vented K. The 66 swaybar went around a closed K.

Hi Jim,how,d ya make out with the swap?Keep us posted!
Well, both front ends are out and the one from the 66 Dart is bolted to the 74 Duster. I will be cleaning up all the disc brake junk and painting it before I put it on the 66. It also has the 66's original rear end. I am selling it this weekend as a project car. Forgot to tell you.

I am in the house now and drinking my first beer of the day and my lower back really hurts. Gotta get off here though, I got a buddy coming over soon to set up my new guitar. 8)
