My temp Gauge seems to only work sometimes. All other gauges work fine in the cluster. It is a 72 Demon non rally cluster I did replace the the voltage reducer with an electronic one last your and all worked fine. Is there any way to check the gauge and the sender or just replace them?

Thanks
Tom

You can temporarily ground the wire going to the sender and see if you get full scale on the temp. gauge. You may also have an intermittent sender, they're rather cheap and easy to replace.

Could be the nuts that attach the gauge to the printed circuit board are loose.
Those are stamped nuts that have a fairly good foot print on the board and very little contact to the studs threads. Enough rust in those threads can cause low or no reading also.

Yup the fake nuts, bad pin/ bad harness connector at the PC board, or bad/ corroded terminal in the bulkhead connector AS WELL AS bad connector right at the sender.
