I hear ya. I went to bed at nine and got up at 4:30 like any other day. My wife and kids were up til 2:00 and won't be stirring for hours. I have Christmas music playing and PLENTY of Bailey's in my coffee. All is right with the world. Merry Christmas everyone. Pass that **** over here @memike

Personally, i can't wait until Christmas and New Years is over.
Too much commercialism for me..............
 
The Christmas season means many different thing to most everyone. I just try to take it all in stride. In about 8 more days the world will get back to normal (somewhat), people's attention will be about the real world, life as they know it, all this will just be a distant memory, ...again.
 
I don't get much excited anymore. Watched a movie last night. Woke up at 8:AAM which for me is late..........
 
The need to buy people stuff who have no need. They can have anything they want but feeling compelled to get stuff. I waved all presents for me this year. Bought a lot for the Demon (including the car itself) this year. Also, it was a chance for my son to double down on things he couldnt buy on his own for his rat rod
 
generally a happy time for most but like everything it has it's down side.
You have to shave,bath,put on clean clothes and do nothing for awhile.All
the things your not used to.
 
Managing a good buzz all day. Stay with alcohol or shift to weed later for interaction with family. Always a tough call. lol
 
Coulda got myself a cast 4" scat crank if'n I did not have to buy everybody stuff they don't need. My son I don't mind buying stuff for, adults can get their own ****. I didn't find any pistons and rings in my stocking, nor a pair of 500cfm AVS2 carburetors under the tree.

Looks like I get to buy my own stuff next month!
 
I have a sweet tooth, and I have trouble saying no to the zillions of cookie, cake, etcetera offers. Other than that, Christmas is a wonderful time of year. Is it commercialized? Absolutely! But we all just to keep in mind the true meaning of the season and not get bogged down by everything else.
