Nice pictures. I'll download mine when I get home tomorrow. Still have 600 miles to go.

Here's pics of the FABO tent. Sorry, there are a lot more pics but the internet at the Holiday Inn tonight is super slow, took me 30min to upload 10 pics to imageshack. And the wifes computer is a slow P.O.S. which doesn't help. The last pic was myself with Joe Pappas, the man behind the Missile project. So glad the fellas had him come hangout with us, lots of great stories from him as well as tons of great BSing from everyone else. Ross, sorry we had to miss meeting you, but it was a pleasure meeting your Dad! Hopefully we get back here next year!

Here's my lone pic from the Nats! The best score I made in the swap area! My son Ian and I were walking the aisles and came across this! He wanted it BAD, and he's so ready, so we bought it! $450!! Not a Mopar, but definetly a good deal!! He's super stoked!! Geof

And Ross.......Greg Charney showed up. Went right down the dragstrip
with a 10.24 and then pulled around and came right into the back of the
tent. Greg mentioned that he remembers talking to you about your motor
mounts. I'm sure that pictures are coming. Gavin's Dart (orange beast) and
Weeb's limelight green 440 Duster anchored the FABO outdoor area. Also had
the boys from Florida back with the black ('70?) Dart with the huge drag
radials, big-block and fenderwell headers.

Unfortunately you missed the daily more "unofficial" drags between Tod
in Jim's Hemi Cuda, Rod, Denny, Jim and Mark, among others. Let me just
say that Rod's 605 hp Demon can hold it's own with all of those Hemis!

Nice shot's Rod! Nice to meet you.

Make sure you have a good helmet and, at a minimum, a neck nut...neck brace better..

My son Ian, raced MX for 5 years....

Still have that big smile on your face in the next to last photo? LOL

Boys I'm 24 and in the prime of my lady killing life and I will tell you that she was one fine looking women.

......and the stories they tell!.....went on all day and into the night. Joe's wife Lynn could keep pace with all of us.

Great to hear everyone's hot rod / hellraisin stories. Sounds like we were lucky to stay out of jail.....right Old Man Mopar??.....BTW...what is the statute for dumping an outhouse on the main street of town?

It only gets better....see (some of) you this weekend at Moparfest.

Awesome pics... I will post mine after I get home from work... By the time we got home and unloaded yesterday, all I wanted to do was lay on the couch LOL .. (I'll save the private eye hot girl pics for another time LOL)

As I recall, the official charge was "depositing an unsanitary building on a public highway".

Ask Hooshpuppy......He was hauled in with the rest of us.

Lynn Pappas really opened my eyes and kinda crushed me when she revealed the picture of Joe and Oldfield you posted in my thread was from a Holloween party (costumes / dressed up as 50's greasers) from back in the day. I really thought the picture was taken after a hard day on the racin' circuit in the early days......ya know, maybe Joe was hired for his work ethic, not his intelligence or social skills.

I was convinced she (Lynn) was Superwoman to be able to take what appeared to be a greasy, rough edged, rabble rousin', hellhaiser car guy and turn him into what now seemed to be a refined, well educated, articulate, professional engineer.

good for Joe's rep....no so good for Lynns. (at least she can scale a roof, you know, for maintenance issues anyways)

good thing they didn't dress in drag for that party....just say'n.
