Looking to make a metal fuel line to run up to a thermoquad with 5/16 line, wanted to know what the fitting size is that screws into the the carb fitting.

I had to manipulate mine a little around the pump area. I think you would be ok with the air gap you would just have to have a longer rubber hose at the filter the section that goes into the carb is not that long you but you could make up the difference between the two.I was looking at one of those but ill have a thermoquad on an Airgap with a spread bore space which will make it sit higher. I feared it may be a little short.

I slide a piece of cardboard under the filter when changing it. It keeps the fuel from going into the intake crevices.Sometimes in some years the filter was a little closer to the front of the engine and tilted. That’s where I like to put it. The gas spilled during filter changes (as well if it leaks) is minimized and not laying on the intake so much.
