Looking to make a metal fuel line to run up to a thermoquad with 5/16 line, wanted to know what the fitting size is that screws into the the carb fitting.

Thanks

Got a flaring set and some line from summit, I'm going to make a hard line to the filter off of the fuel pump. Should make it look much cleaner.

I bought the pre bent one it comes with the fitting on it. I have some of those fittings if you need one.

This is what I bought it comes with the full line from the pump to the carb just add a filter. Just like everything else its went up almost 10 dollars since I bought it in December! It was 24 when I bought it.

I was looking at one of those but ill have a thermoquad on an Airgap with a spread bore space which will make it sit higher. I feared it may be a little short.

You can never have a big enough fuel line. I say go 3/4 inch :) Well, isn't that what the Lady's say?

I had to manipulate mine a little around the pump area. I think you would be ok with the air gap you would just have to have a longer rubber hose at the filter the section that goes into the carb is not that long you but you could make up the difference between the two.

But if you don't want to go that route and just want to flare your own I have the fittings just pm me and ill sent you one or two

I see in the photos the filters are metal. Yup, lets keep it that way. Edelbrock supplies a plastic filter. Not using it. Nothing like a melting gas filter to fuel the fire.

Sometimes in some years the filter was a little closer to the front of the engine and tilted. That’s where I like to put it. The gas spilled during filter changes (as well if it leaks) is minimized and not laying on the intake so much.
Small potatoes, I know…..

I slide a piece of cardboard under the filter when changing it. It keeps the fuel from going into the intake crevices.
