I'm thinking about selling this car and need your help figuring out what it's worth.

69 Barracuda fastback, rust free California car with stock 2 bbl 318/904. Engine runs, rebuilt a few years back but has a vibration issue. Factory disc brakes. Lighweight rear end. Legendary Interior is good, original carpet and door panels in good shape. Stock AM thumbwheel radio.

I bought it years ago from a little old lady from Camarillo, Ca. It just needed U-joints at the time so she thought there was something really wrong with it.

Car needs:

Paint
slight body work
headliner
re-chromed front bumper
engine balanced
dashboard plastic rechromed

Newer or updated parts:

windshield
battery
orange box ignition
brakes
dash pad
sway bars

How do you expect us to guess at a value without pics?

Really, I have some change and what feels like paper bills, can any of you tell me how much money I have in my pocket?

I think it's worth only $200, but I'll give a FABO brother another hundred. :violent1: Can you ship that to NJ?:wack:

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :D GLWS!!!

Mopar Automobiles For Sale

You might want to get a mod to move this to another category since the for sale category requires a price.

Only worth what someone is willing to pay.

I hate these threads.Someone always gotta lowball and the storm begins. Why not go to ebay and compare to whats sold like yours.

Xs2. A little research will get you a general idea.

"Engine balanced" would be a killer since it may need a full rebuild if it wasn't done right the first time.

Thanks.

Sounds like a $3,000 to $5000 car to me based only on your description and the vision in my head. :D

Quit talkin about it and put it in the for sale section with a price. You have the same internet we do and can go find comparable cars. All you're trying to do like everybody else that does this is drum up interest before you put it up for sale. Threads like this oughtta be deleted because they are basically a for sale thread in the wrong place.

No need for the name calling. I told you the truth. We have over 25K members here. You got any idea how many people blow through here *just* to sell their junk and not care about anything else?

I gave good advice. Everything I said was true. Don't shoot the messenger. If you have enough sense to come on here trying to sell your car, you have enough sense to make comparisons of similar cars online. You have the same internet all the rest of us do.

This isn't an auction site. If you want people to "bid" on your car, which is the general purpose of these type threads, go put it on Ebay. Otherwise, go look at our for sale section, read the rules and post it with a price for sale. It's not rocket science.

You've been asked more than once to post pictures. None yet. Then, you call someone a chevy asshole for trying to give you some advice. not a very good way to make a good impression. I was after all, trying to help, whether you liked my help or not. I took time out of my day to type all this. Rather than think I had any attitude, which I did not, look at it for what it is. Try doing what I recommended. If you want to sell something, the only way to get er done, it to PUT IT UP FOR SALE.

Cawley is not the car owner, cudajim owns the car and has been around since 2006 plus has over a 1000 posts.

Got something to say to me John?

Callin' me out? I am not offended nor concerned-actually chuckling.

If I have something to tell you, I will -no threats, or under tones. I'll be your huckleberry. ;)

I realize that the OP might not be on the up and up or that some of the members here very likely have a better perspective than I, it would APPEAR that these responses (to include yours) are rude and overbearing-but people should not judge on assumptions either way. on the surface cawley has a point, but I know that not everything operates on the surface...
...no need to defend yourself from me

people have pointed guns to my head, or started fights with me from actual stressful situations, etc., I won't be offended (not trying to boast, just providing an example of my degree to a fellow alumni of the school-of-hard knocks) on the internet

any progress with the banjo?

Exactly why I said I hate these threads. I wasnt being rude. Have just seen too many **** storms in my 6 years here.

when I cross the line, or am too close, let me know

-continue to fight the good fight modder.

I disagree with memike's sentiment, I do not believe in investing my heart deeply into any web-strangers' responses-even ones I know.

Once you leave the nest, (perhaps outside a church or similar environment) it is a cold world-people often look after their own once the rent is due.

one needs to step back when some else chide's a personal response-
when someone 'roasts the ricers' and the storm winds blow, just regulate with rules and don't take anything personal-works great in a tiny underwater village where people manage not to kill each other, under stress, where hate & faults run as rampant as anywhere in society and you can't 'walk away.'

Wow-this thread took a big dive !!!!!
