Thinking of changing my exhaust, has anyone tried this style?

So as the title says, the aar style exhaust has worn on me. Its fun around town, but 40 miles to the track makes me hate the car.

I saw this for the G-force design demon and wondering if anyone has tried an exhaust with turn downs hidden like this

That's cool, but remember unless you have a rear suspension like the car in your pic, your leaf springs will be in the area those tail pipes are in.

might work with SS springs otherways it might get alitle to tight. early camaros and novas run there exaust under the framerail/over the springs in a sort of similar way,but there framerails seem to sit higher in relation to the springs..

I like the turn downs. Had them on my demon years ago. Wish i had pictures of it. I prefer them coming out more in the stock location though.

i prefer turn downs,but you will dust everyone out behind you at shows and cruise night
when you fire it up.

I get sucked into all the exhaust threads because I am getting ready to redo my entire system.
Right now I have stock manifolds and single exhaust, but I have collected Hedman headers, Remflex gaskets, collector adapters from 3" to 2.5", Flowmaster 40's, 12 feet of 2.5 and the hangar hardware is on it's way.

Anyway the point is, I'm going to put the Flowmasters right after the crossmember and then cross the pipes through an X and out in front of the rear tires with tapered ends because anything that dumps under the car either makes drone, kicks up dust or both.

I had the tail pipes run on my 71 Dart in a similar fashion. I had SS springs on it. Pipes came between the frame rails and springs and dumped at an angle under the rear quarters, just in front of the rear valance on each side. That's how I like it run. I HATE two pipes stickin straight out the back. Frakkin STUPID lookin.

I guess i'll have to do my exhaust a different way or table it until I put in a 4-link setup.
