had the throttle hand up on a woods bike I rebuild once, that woke me up...riding a runaways bike along side of a 60 foot drop off

It looks more like a loss of traction than a throttle hang up. Throttle hang up the car would still go straight but spinning the tires on the big end will result into a crash like that. The second video shows a very loose car on the big end.. Glad he is ok...
 
Good thing he had a good cage and he wasn't hurt. There's a lot of those Mustangs that turn left when they hit high gear.
