This is StansBlue72's Daughter....

-

Melanie, I've been through just a touch of this with loved ones in the past.

While my late wife in a coma the American Cancer Society had a lodge nearby that they were able to give me housing free of charge. Is this a possibility?

It's "that" time of the year around here so I'm just now seeing this post.

Melanie, thank you for letting us know (you have your first official FABO Thanks). Stan, you hang in there buddy -- you, your wife and daughter have my love and best wishes for a speedy and thorough recovery.

I've also got a $125.00 PSC Gift Certificate that I'd like to donate to the cause to go to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to Stan of course. If Billy hadn't cleaned out the paypal account [again] with parts for his latest motorcycle project I'd send some of that too but right now it's all I've got.

Sadly the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance has no free housing. They do offer some people assistance with paying the rent, but you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get this and most people do not quality for the assistance in the end.

There are only two housing facilities are the SCCA House and the Pete Gross House (which is where we are).

Thanks for the suggestion though, and thanks to much to everyone for the donations, prayers and items placed for auction.

We don't know each other, but we sent what we could to Paypal. Our best wishes go out to you and your wife's speedy recovery!
Jeff and Lisa
