Tie rods, steering and disc brakes???

-
Sorry @72bluNblu
I forgot to ask, if swapping to 11/16 tie rods(inner and out)....would i have to swap my center link as well??

I can answer that.
The tie rod ends will work with either center link.
The center link needs to be paired with the correct pitman and idler arms. 1972 and earlier, with changes the earlier you go. 1973 to '76 need to match up also.

Thank you once again @72bluNblu

So im going to have to return the Hellwig 5906 lol
Full disclosure, I did call Hellwig and asked them about that bar fitting while I use the QA1 LCAs...they said it would work. They also mentioned possibly have to shortening the end links bolts....But im unsure if they have actually tried this configuration.

I feel more comfortable trusting your judgment on all of this.

Luckily I ordered it from summit and they're awesome on returns/exchanges and sending the actual part i need the next day.

The easiest bar to order next would be the QA1 bar but the ones they sell/have, u either need to have their tubular K-member or have their coilover conversion.
The next one would be the Hotckis bar, it is thicker at 1-1/2" and requires welding(from the instructions) and im not proficient at welding but worth the try. Unfortunately summit doesnt have or carry the Hellwig #55917, or id go with that one. But then again idk if im going as wide with the wheels, yet.

And as for the Tbar, I'm gonna order the 1.12" from FF, definitely want to try those out.

Yeah the QA1 sway bar only works with the QA1 k member.

Shorter end links won’t cut it with the 5906, the bar is several inches longer so it can’t use the inner/73+ sway bar mounting tab locations.

The Hotchkis bar does have brackets that weld to the K frame, but as far as welding goes it should be pretty simple. And the QA1 LCA sway bar tabs can locate the sway bar to help with the k frame brackets.

The Hotchkis sway bar will allow for wider tires as well, and for the 55917 it’s not about the wider tires, it’s about the sway bar tab locations on the QA1 LCA’s. Both the 55917 and Hotchkis bar can use the sway bar tabs that come on the QA1 LCA’s. Any bar that uses the factory 67-72 sway bar tab locations won’t fit with the QA1 LCA’s.

Exactly. The taper diameter on the 11/16” tie rod ends is the same as the 9/16”. The adjuster diameter is the difference.
