Tony Stewart Wants To Drive Top Fuel Dragster

Heaven help us! Tony Stewart wants to drive a Top Fuel dragster.
Read a short article on foxsports.com and at the end of the article they're talking about the recent "Choose Tony's Ride" Mobil 1 event where fans were allowed to vote on what kind of vehicle Stewart should drive in an exhibition around the road course at Charlotte. Vehicles were narrowed down to a WWII-era tank, a Chevrolet Astro van, a Formula Drift Camaro and a Chevy Corvette Grand Sport.
Although the drifter won, Stewart also drove the van and the tank. He couldn't hide his enthusiasm for both - the drifter took him three laps to figure out how to get through one particular tricky turn.
He had driven a tank before, but never a drifter, and said he loved the experience. But he also said there's still something out there he wants to drive.
"I still want to drive a top fuel car," Stewart said. "That's the next thing on the bucket list now. It's the only thing I haven't driven that I want to drive more than anything."

Look out NHRA!!! Sure hope somebody can make this happen.

I received a pic recently of The Bounty Hunter behind the wheel of his new top fuel rail.. Been about 15 years for him I would guess. I don't think he'll race, he just wanted to get it warmed up. He's probably one of those guys you wouldn't want to throw your helmet at.

I doubt he would become a Drag Racer. That's not what he said. He simply said he wants to drive a fuel car. He can easily afford to set something up for himself to make a few passes here and there. There's no harm there.

You're probably right, and I agree. But, Danica followed the money to NASCAR, that's why I think that Stewart will stay with NASCAR, and just dabble with drag racing, just like he does with all the other motor sports he's involved with.
I sincerely doubt that you'll be seeing Tony Stewart involve in the NHRA points chase any time soon.
