Tool chest intentionally miss marked at HarborFreight.

First of all, let me say that I like HarborFreight. I go there a lot, and I think they have pretty good stuff. I was there grabbing a few things the other day and I noticed a very nice eight drawer tool chest with a sign on it that said, if I remember right, $179. Not just one sign, but two separate signs. In the fine print on the sign it said one drawer rolling workbench. There was a lady stalking in the next aisle so I went to get her. I asked her to come and look at something. I told her you might want to fix that sign before somebody goes upfront screaming and yelling and demanding that cart for $179. She told me that corporate office told them to put that sign on that Tool test. I said OK. I used to work retail, and I will guarantee you that somebody will be upfront screaming yelling and demanding that cart for $179.

I would. Kitty would. And lemmie tell ya. SHE is one FIERCE WOMAN when it comes to mismarked items. She's won EVERY battle I've ever seen regarding that. She will keep appealing to higher management until she makes it happen. There have been a time or two when the store manager even refused her. He regretted it. She went home and called corporate and laid it on um. The next day, the store manager called her and told her to come in and he'd honor the price. ...and as a matter of fact, it was on a TOOLBOX at Harbor Freight. I had told her I wanted her to have one ALL HERS for all her inside tools and such and she found a deal on one. ...well she liked it cause it was orange. I'm tellin yall here and now. I gotta woman that don't play all dat chit. lol

Now you’ve got me curious, so what was/is the alternate price you understand should be on the sign?

Also you say it was intentionally mismarked, as part of your experience did they confirm that they are charging more for it than displayed?

I am also of the mind that items should be sold at the displayed price, and have had some go my way, and others not so much.
