Definitely saw that. They got all fancy with the infrared heat cameras and such.FWIW, Engine Masters has an episode on heat shielding.

A friend of mine told me about that, he said there were only two tapes that made a difference. Been meaning to watch itFWIW, Engine Masters has an episode on heat shielding.

Not only that but two tapes absorbed heat and made the test medium (steel) hotter!A friend of mine told me about that, he said there were only two tapes that made a difference. Been meaning to watch it
Yikes, I tried to find the episode but I don’t think I can see it without the subscription. I ordered some of the DEI tapeNot only that but two tapes absorbed heat and made the test medium (steel) hotter!
This is what I found on AmazonThe DEI tape I used was one that was about 1/8 to 3/16 thick and had an insulating barrier. I think (not positive though) it’s one of the ones they tested that worked. I have a friend at westech I could ask. Either way my results were clear. Melted carpet prior to tape, no melted car post tape, so I’d say mine worked.
A few friends and I are getting our cars ready to go to the dyno. I’m not sure when but I’m thinking it’ll be sometime in the springNice! Just saw your YouTube short of this car. Think you’ll get it on a dyno?

I should be there, I was able to bring the car last year. I’ve got a trip down in Myrtle beach for a large car showing coming up next monthIf you're ready in time, Mopars at The Rock is April 5th.![]()
Added another plate to my heat shield. This should direct the air from the passenger side hood scoop a little better. It’ll have to do for now until I can figure out what to do about an intercooler.

I have considered that, really my only hang up is that I don’t want to cut the car up more than I need to.Have you considered coming out of the super charger inlet with a 90 degree turn that passes through the inner fender and continues to some kind a housing with your air cleaner inside it? It would have access to cooler air from under the fender, while being protected from water and stones being splashed up from the tire.
Sure it another hole in the car, but you could also put a chiller just before the 90 degree bend before going out the fender.
That tape works good, I did my ice box and all the air/water intercooler hose in it and it keeps the water cooler than without it. Had to wrap the hose with electrical tape since the heat tape didnt care for the rubber hose and sticking to it well but with the electrical tape its works good.
