This demon im working on i just installed the k frame. Put the torsion bars in place. Installed the lower control arms. I tried putting the torsion bars into the lower control arms & they will not go in far enough to put the wire clip in. The left side bar sits flush with the mount & the right side sticks out of the mount about an inch. Ive installed many bars & never came across this issue before. They are the bars that came out of it. Ive tried all kinds of things. But no go. Whats going on ?

If you already hooked the LCA's to the spindles and UCA's you may need to remove the upper bumpstops as RRR said. Outside of that, did you paint or powdercoat the bars or the LCA's? Paint or especially powdercoating can really interfere with sliding the bars in. If you packed a bunch of grease into the LCA socket you can actually prevent the torsion bars from going all the way in, they can hydrolock. No where for the grease to go. A little grease is helpful to get the bars to slide and to keep them from rusting inside the socket, but a little is all you need. If you have the torsion bar adjusting plates and bolts installed in the LCA's, loosen them completely or remove them. They can also get in the way of putting the LCA's in a spot where the socket completely lines up with the hex end of the bar.

no the bump stop are not removed i painted them all but the ends i put some grease on the ends of the bars i tried with every thing loose the bars are what came out of it this car is giving me alot of "this is a first for me" lol

Well if the LCA’s are hooked to the spindles already you will either have to remove the upper bump stop so the LCA’s can hang down further or disconnect them from the spindle so they’ll hang down further. If you disconnect them from the spindles you’ll probably need to remove the adjusters to get them back on the spindles, alrhoigh removing the adjusters also can make the install easier.

Pull the bars back out and run a tape measure from the bottom of the control arm socket to the clip groove and compare that with the torsion bar length. Maybe you didn't press the lower control arm pin far enough into the bushing? Make sure there's no slag or excess grease in the bottom of the control arm socket.
