I just remembered this, but rent, buy, steal, beg or borrow the cold machine thingy. It is like a itty bitty water pump and radiator. I have no idea what it is called but it was a god send. Like so many others on here I wanted no part of the heavy pain pills. This machine has a Velcro wrap you put around your knee, it has a water reservoir you put ice or frozen water bottles in and it circulates the cold water thru the knee wrap. Really really reduces pain and swelling. For the life of me I do not remember what it is called. Talk to her PA or do a Amazon search, it is seriously good for the recovery process.

We did the same thing. The one we got was a Breg Polar Care Kodiak. Kind of pricey but it was well worth it.

I'll echo all the previous comments about after-surgery therapy. Do exactly what is instructed...no more and no less. You'll be amazed at the results.
I had my left knee replaced about 12 years ago and was back bowling less than four months later.

She is in recovery in alot of pain.Atleast her oxygen is getting better they have it turned down and her level is good.

The warden is doing way better this morning and gets to go home tomorrow. The therapist was surprised she could bentbher knee so far

Kaiser sent my girlfriend home the same morning she had hers done. It was done as an out-patient. Getting cut on by 6 A.M., home before noon.....

Well we got home last night.She finally had a bm.Now she's sleeping catching up from the no sleep hospital.she has been sleeping for 2 hrs in my Archie bunker chair.When she wakes up she'll be doing some exercises!

Neighbor brought over a roast chicken from their back yard ,green beans out of their garden and homade cookies.Believe it ir not I didn't eat them all!

She has 325/5 does and I gave her half when she woke up about 20 min ago and gave her a bath.A neighbor let us use their sliding shower chair.I think with out it she woulda never made it.Likeni said she slept alot cause in the hospital you can't sleep long their always soothing keeping you awake.Thanks for everyones kindness

Had both mine done 3 months apart 5 years ago. The surgery goes well it's the rehab that's the tough part. Doing it saved my mobility.

She is walking around today with outbher walker.She has been doing exercises the doc told her to do cause Home health car screwed up and didn't show,she she's the Doctor Thursday
