Basically if you have fuel, spark keep turning the distributor counter clock wise till it kicks back when trying to start, then turn it back clockwise a smidge.

After that and nothing maybe your cam is 180* or valves hung open?
Can you hear compression with a spark plug out turning it over?

Also with the engine @ TDC you should have the distributor intermediate shaft slot pointing at the drivers side front intake bolt.

But try advancing the distributor.

i guess ill have to try 2morro man....getting late. but thanks for walking through this. if you think of anything esle, let me know. thanks again, and ill try that 2morro after work.

reset the timing for the 8th time, and charged the battery. it was sooo close to firing up 2 times. i have gas thats a year old tho. so im going to get new gas in there, and a new battery.

charged the battery for 4 hours, rechecked the timing....and checked all my plug wires and made sure i had power and everything was seated correctly...
