No exhaust ,the headers look like they will be a real pain but they always have been even with the old stuff
I’m not sure if there is any differences between the two I know the heads can be switched from a 5.7/6.4 so I dunnoIs there a physical difference between a 6.4 and a5.7?
The truck intakes are taller. The car intake is lower for hood clearance. The truck intake is suppose to flow better because of this. So I've been told.Is there a physical difference between a 6.4 and a5.7?
As long as you are talking about actual headers, like TTI's. Yes they will go in.But the headers should fit like every other 5.7 install.
It is very tight, but they do fit. Not the most glorious job in the world to do, but, there's worse things. They in fact are the ONLY thing that seems to fit. 2010-2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 manifolds fit, but, will be waaaay to restrictive on your 6.4.The opening post made it sound like they would be a more difficult install.
I am not all that familiar with gen3 other than maintenance on my ram.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe you are the member that switched from a 408 tothe TTI headers do fit, very tight, do your self a favor and open up the holes in the flanges the holes are extremely tight tolerance and are not forgiving at all. I fought my drivers side for almost three hours before I just pulled it and opened them up. also on the drivers side the #3 tube, start those first then the rest, for some reason TTI like to make that a *****. Just like my traditional small block headers. and last but not least if your proportioning valve is in stock location you may want to move that up towards the master cylinder while the motor is out, the tubs are very close if not touching the proportioning valve.
Have started a thread ?I am the guy that went from a 415 to a 5.7 based 392. I am super close to running. I have to prime the oil system and run a few wires for the alternator, radiator hoses and I am running. I have zero regrets doing this. I can go to any dealership in the united states to get motor parts etc. and I am up and running. the difference between me and 408 swinger is he is running a carb and I am running a throttle body EFI system. 408 swinger has two good threads on this site to read thru, and he is up and running.
and I am doing this to a stock front suspension 74 dart sport with a cope race trans behind it
I did but have not updated it. I should go back and update what I can but for the most part it is parallel with 408 swinger. he has the same year dart swinger and I have sport. I will get back into it and update. I did also have one regarding my sons belvedere on Moparts but his has completely stalled out due to cash flow. I am just so excited to just drive this car and put a few thousand miles on it.
However I want to move even closer to the new modern tech, so I more than likely will be selling my life long car(Dart sport) to get into a new 1320. My wife has been very patient with me over the years with my hobby but has finally asked me to sell and upgrade so she can enjoy it with me. small price to pay for a factory 11 second car with air conditioning and spending more time with my wife. Part of me is bummed out, but the other part is excited to get the 1320.
Just want to jump in real quick, not trying to high jack but looking for clarification, 2010-2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 manifolds are PROVEN to fit in a 74 Dart Sport? Yes, they do. With a couple slight modifications. The 73 Scamp is the same front dimensionally as your Sport. Please refer to my 73 Scamp 5.7 Swap thread and look closely at the pics.73 Scamp 5.7 SwapJust want to jump in real quick, not trying to high jack but looking for clarification, 2010-2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 manifolds are PROVEN to fit in a 74 Dart Sport?
