Trunk Weatherstrip Install

Hi Guys: I'm trying to remember how the weather stripping was installed in the trunk of my 70 Swinger. Hoping someone has looked at theirs, or installed it before, to give me the correct orientation. I have a diagram, (my best guess), included. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance: Howard

The OEM seal goes on < widest side toward the weather. As if it'll make any difference in the long run.
The best thing you could do is throw that away and get a later model seal design (hollow tube on a U shaped channel). Parts yards have plenty of them.
