Unity Motorsports Doing their 318 Project!

-
They are trying to finish the MISSION: I **** everything up, make big promises and never deliver 318 project Uncle Tony started and shoved up their butts.

It’s embarrassing for UT really.

Oh geez not this (you know what) again...

has anyone tallied up how expensive its gotten even with free parts and volunteer work?

C'mon man, how about thinking the best about someone instead of throwing rocks at them.

Well for some of us the excitement waned a couple years back... actually I remember the video where Andy basically threw Tony under the bus Unc was all over in the comments section on that one...its drama for clicks if the 318 makes any real power it will be expensive. Expensive wasn't the original claim by Uncle Tony. So in a nutshell this is why some are just like "whatever" when it comes to this build.

Everything went too far off course to Tony's plan. Not the first time he walked away when someone altered his course. All things said, he stays true to his course.

What's the point? They allready have 100s of hours of R&D in a shitty 2 barrel carb and intake. You could throw that garbage in the trash in 15 minutes and replace it with a swap meet performer and 750 carburetor, and make more power way cheaper.

Andy is cool. Hands down. He does some cool projects, including this one IF you remove the initial goal. Here is the short story.
  • Tony was going to work with only 318 parts (and not overly extensive) to try and make 318 HP. Thus the name "mission impossible"
  • On Tony's live, David V wanted to participate, in which Tony said "ok"
  • It quickly escalated beyond what Tony's intentions were. He washed his hands of it all
  • Andy and David have done some extensive mods, testing, and collaborations. Shane P. did oiling mods to the block, parts were donated by JMJ, Charles did extensive head porting/test/bench flowing.

  • My take. To me it is now just a 318 build. Still cool though. I like all parties involved. But this project took a sharp left at the first city block. Maybe for the better? Who knows, that's up to the opinion of the viewers.

Because there is a pattern with Uncle Tony and his idiotic hair brained ideas getting dropped on someone else.

I’m not pissing in anyone’s cereal. I’m saying the truth.

As NCenginebuilder said above, it’s absolute nonsense to spend that kind of time and effort on ANY engine to end up with the results it will have.

Just utter stupidity. But everyone love a bumbling dolt ne’er do well trying to make chicken **** into chicken salad.

I almost never say anything about UT because it’s not worth the hassle.

Since I know what went down I’m going to call that horse **** every single time.

And I’m 99.9% sure UT won’t lift a finger to help. And I’m 100% sure he won’t drop a single shekel to help pay the bills to finish this asinine project.

I Hope Andy goes over the cost rundown if they make any power with it. Lets everyone know how cost effective it would be etc.

I’d rather watch real engine builders build real engines.

Vizard is not.
Uncle Tony is not

And this right here is the reason yall will never see me post another build video online of anything. Ever.

Funny thing is all these so-called experts started from somewhere to gain credit.. They didn't just fall into the lap of being a "Real Engine Builder"
Everyone's opinion differs on the right and wrong way to do something. 1 guy thinks its great 2 or 3 others gotta knock it down. Then there's the friedburger and finnigans of the world doing the leather bearings and living on hopes and prayers the engine doesn't rattle itself to death or chuck a rod. What is right and what is wrong is highly subjective.

And a forum should be able to express all of that without the typical flak. Hey, this is our hobby so let's exchange our dreams, failures, and everything in between and leave the insults to the FOMOCO and GM crowd.

Kinda where I am. What gets me the most is, most of these guys they constantly insult are Mopar guys. It's kinda like politics. If you were followed around with a camera ALL DAY LONG, you'd get recorded doin and sayin some pretty stupid stuff too. It's called bein human. I think some of these guys either never learned that, or have forgotten it.

Wait a second, in the other thread about nicks garage bumbfuckin their way through a 6 pack efi setup you jump right on board with the bashing. But here you knock us for telling the truth? Don’t you consider Nick a “mopar guy”? You should post MORE **** not less because last I remember you know how to do this stuff and don’t just blab about it.

I do consider Nick a Mopar guy. And I said I liked him early on. Not so much now. He's out there in the spotlight a lot more so he SHOULD strive to be more genuine and correct. While he did that at first, he's not anymore.
