Are there any differences in heater core designs made for the US vs. Canadian markets, say for a 1968 Barracuda?

I don't believe there is any difference.

Even the AC and heat only use the same core.

When I was a kid I remember being told that convertibles had a bigger heater than other cars to keep the occupants warm in the winter. Made no sense to me, but it seemed like some people believed it.

Might apply to some models but not A Bodies

I can say with the top up the inside of my 67 stays nice and warm.

Now with the top down and -10 deg F outside, that's another thing!

We generally upped the thermostat to a 195*, gave warmer air outta heater.
Hence the " summer/winter" thermostats I remember as a kid.
Cheers
