Balance to what and how? Internal balanced? External balanced. They are ALL balanced. If you're talking about using a neutral balanced flywheel on a 5.9 Magnum, I advise heavily against it.Wanna test run a Magnum 360 on a run stand and only have a balanced flywheel. lf l bolt on and fire, will it become a satellite and orbit the Sun? Just intend to fire long enough to check leaks, psi etc. Thanks
Do you have a zero balance flywheel? You might be able to piggyback your flexplate.Firstly, thank you for all the replies. Appreciate it. To be clear, this is for a running (reported) take out 360 Magnum w/ auto trans. So, l have the external balanced flex plate, but that doesn't help me on a run stand. The various solutions appear impractical as to drilling-tapping-welding-$$$ for a 2 minute test run. George Jets is on to something more practical that l would consider, but like products have been discontinued. Sooo...if George has got one for sale, lemme know, if not-there may be some tidal influence due to a 360 Mag in orbit. Best to have some sand bags filled in coastal regions.

thank you George for all the suggestions. WAY beyond my fab/skill level though. Not afraid to try new stuff-but reasonably confident between copying, printing, tracing, drilling, mounting...sumpin' goin' get F'd upNotice the handy Slotted bolt for holding the balance plate in place to easily mount the heavy flywheel... all lined up.

well, l'll be your 1st customer!Have been playing around this evening with pictures of the RM-531 Balance Plate and some photo edit software to come up with a pattern to make the balance plates.
Just so happens I have a 318 crankshaft here in the house for fitting the balance plate pattern to.
Don't have a good straight on picture of the RM-531 at the moment, that would keep things in the proper proportions to make the pattern.
Rough Draft for now...

This pattern is actually on upside down > need to flip it to get the offset of the bolt holes to line up correct, and have the weight in the right position for balance.
Half the fun is thinking through it and see what you can come up with.

Would be much easier just to take the actual RM-531 part off my engine run stand 360 and take it over to my Minnesota neighbor who works sheet steel. He could probably run off 10 exact duplicates no problem.
Only prob... it's 1700 miles away and doubt I will be getting back this season as Winter is coming on again.
Will stay where it's warm for now. I may be able to get a proper dimension template by doing some reverse engineering with info I have available.
