well, wife's vacation day. went for a walk thru a downtown area she's been wanting to see and this hobby shop was kinda on the way home. got these:

plan on using the Demon front clip in the "Scamp". then getting a Dart model for the rear 1/4's, even if they are S/S style and using a "stock" type chassis with S/S springs and such. does anybody resin cast 340/4-speed combo? OR which kit has the best looking engine? Thanks!

Could find the older 1969 Dart kit to use for quarters but the newer 1968 Dart has S/S springs, the 340 in the Demon kit isn't the worst but I did like the newer Revell one more (AAR and even the T/A kit).

Once you open the “Scamp” you will find out it’s actually a ‘71 Dart
going to try to make my first Mopar: a 70 Swinger 340. while the wheelwells were stock, I had wanted to open them up. Soo, it's less expensive to do it in plastic.

Yes, the 68 Dart is the one I'll look for, probably a Monogram or Revell E-body for the engine. I think September is the big model show at the county fairgrounds. better save my nickels.

I like the kits you bought are they new?

A couple years ago I listed these models $500 for all with cases and in boxes on shelves . I Never even got a reply. Since then My grandsons got into them and did damage but all the parts are still there. There is a 70 swinger among them plus many old kits in boxes. some have 2 or 3 built kits in each box . they are marked. Check out the 1/25 69 R/T. and a Demon with a snorkel. I have every year a body including valiants in these boxes and stored in boxes above the shop in the attic. I tried to collect 1/25 scale

I told the oldest grandson 10 years old who lives here with us he can have them when he gets a little older. He can't wait. I built these about 40 years ago. All rattle cans no air brush back then.

Your sick old man...but in a good way!

Yes, they are new. Have list price on the box and a sticker on the shelf that said 20% off. Not Hobby Lobby's 40%, but these were in stock and did not need to be shipped. I'll tell you what, I felt like a kid walking into the hobby shop after getting his hair cut!
What kit(s) did you use to build the Swinger?

Most of the models I have are of cars from that time period. Here are pictures of the real cars. This 70 Road runner is what I drove when I met my wife in the 70's. Model is 1/25 scale I even put a dana in the model
