Trying to figure out which Intake to use on ..both intakes are port matched. Victor will have a 1 inch open spacer....Super Victor ..spacer unknown....Looking for opinons..
motor going in Friday...but Intake will be on a day later...

engine is a 408 with ported eddies from shaydell
cam is hughes solid 264/268 @.050 with Crane 1.6 rockers
compression is 11.9 to 1
holley 950
hooker 1 3/4 headers

car is a 71 Dart Swinger @ 3000 lbs with driver.
904 trans with brake
8 inch converter flashing to 5000 rpm plus or minus
4.30 gears with 10.5 x 29.5 M/T

Sloan's 394 seemed to like the SV.

There were a bunch of changes at the same time, so hard to pinpoint if there was any benefit.

well..it is raining this morning in vegas so the engine installation might be tomorrow instead....

I would think the super Victor would be what you want, though times at the track may say differently. Header tubes seem small.

Sounds like a NICE combo!!!!! I would suggest 1,2 or both things to you.
1,Call Ryan and ask him.
2,Call Edelbrock and ask them
3,Call them both and ask them both

836 cc per cylinder.....

int runner cc's are?

and with all other runners blocked but one, how many cc's are plenum with one runner attached?

and then what kind of fps/air speed does this intake have.

what kind of rpm's are you gonna turn, 7400?

I would go with the Victor with that cam and cyl head from my experience.

Flipped a coin...

the Victor won....will do a swap at a Test n Tune this spring..

Next...i got a figure out which converter to run...

super victor would make more top end hp coverter try ptc works for me

well..i guess i need to be more clearer on the converter...I have a few 8 inch converter for 904s....

4 turbo actions...1 tci...and 1 ptc...so...it will be one of those...LOL

i went with the ptc...since it was build for a 408...

almost there....had a bad day...the little things got to me..CRS trans shield...dip stick tube broke off in block...lol

one of the flexplate bolts would not start...so i gave up...

it is ready to go.......

Tomorrow..........

have a beer relax ,come at it with a fresh head the next day

Assuming the heads are really around 280/290... Victor, no spacer, then Victor, with 1" open.

I hate days like these...

due to the weather...the engine and trans are still sitting on the garage floor..

there is no racing in Vegas until the middle of january at least...
