Does anybody see a problem with the VIN, Fender Tag, engine and trans stampings?

Thanks in advance

No.

It's a 68 so the fender tag will not have the matching sequential number. Instead 68 has the order number on the fender tag. Those numbers on the lower right corner of the fender tag should match the stamped numbers on the radiator support.

1969 and up had the sequential number on the fender tag and the order number.

For a 68 this looks pretty normal .

That is a cool car.... even cooler because it's a 4 speed

And yes, in 68 the VIN number was used on the engine and transmission. Looks good from here.

IIRC 68.5

some debate about when it actually started

You don't want that hunk of junk. I would pass on it. Uh...where is it located?:D
