Apparently you cannot buy the Dap Weldwood Contact Adhesive - Landau Top and Trim HHR in Canada although I do see it on Amazon for $160! Anybody else got a recommendation on another product? I see 3M has the Super Trim Adhesive, 08090 for high temp applications.

Try your local Grainger. Dap Weldwood is what you want to use. Maybe try your local auto upholstery shop. There's a shop around the corner from me who lets me pour out a jar of adhesive off their big 5 gal tubs for $20.

The local shops aren’t going to have it because the product doesn’t come in to Canada. I have checked.

I can't remember what it's called, but there's an industrial product only sold only to commercial accounts. It's a little cheaper than the DAP branded stuff and it's what most upholstery shops use in my neck. That's why I mentioned checking with your local upholstery shops. I doubt they use 3m products

Edit: here's the stuff: Keyston Brand Contact Adhesive. See if any of your local shops have any they can sell you.

I called a marine upholstery shop and lucked out. They have the Weldwood stuff but are out of stock for a week or two. $130/can.

Nice!! But damn, that's pricey. I think my Grainger has it for like $50. It's good **** though. Well worth the $130 for what you're doing.

I let someone else put a vinyl top on a Challenger. They used 3M spray can stuff….and the top started turning loose the first time I had the car out in the sun. The upholstery shop I took it to was able to reglue it with Weldwood and save it. Never again! Get the good stuff like Weldwood Landau Top glue, or whatever commercial equivalent you can get in Canada. Use a cheap siphon feed spray gun that could be thrown away if it doesn’t clean up. You need one with a 1.7 or 1.8 tip.

Well I have the weldwood stuff now and I have some old hvlp guns with big nozzles. I watched a few videos. There are a bunch of different methods of installing. One of them I am not brave enough to attempt. The only thing I have to sort out is when to glue the piece behind the rear window. I think Legendary recommends doing it after doing the roof and before the pillars and gutters.
