Is there not a thermostat housing that has a female NPT that would work? else radiator hose Is there a place in the (a) bypass) always hot flow there

I know im bumping an old thread, but does anyone know the thread size for the stock hole on the intake manifold for the 273? I found an adapter kit with a NTP 1/4 -18, bot sure if that would fit the stock size.

Thanks for the idea. I built the sensor in the heat hose outlet since it is not a winter car.
