Well, I bought one.....

Ignition so nice it has it twice. Which one is the back up? :)
I have no clue.. LOL. Didn't take the time to look at it. Got it home and put it in the back for the winter. If we get a nice day or 3, I might pop the hood and give it a little more of a gander.

@moparmat2000 , mine was an easy 300lbs less with a small block and power everything & AC.

Always dump the Lean burn and run a good old MP chrome box.

The 78 Magnums were offered with a 400, but the biggest you could get in the 79 was a 360. I had a black T top car with dove gray leather interior loaded out with accessories that was a sales manager's demo. I stripped off all of the HP robbing pollution stuff including the 904 lockup. I put an 8 3/4 B body sure grip in it with 727, Edelbrock 4 bbl intake & a 700 cfm Holley, MDS ignition & MSD 6 AL box. It was an excellent DD until I got bored with it, sold it & went back to 60s & 70s Mopars.

Heres some appropriate funnies for you.

somebody on youtube already gave it a nickname... DRAGNUM

Richard Petty built one and said it was horrible at speed. Rumor is he cut the body off and switched to another manufacturer after that. Marty Robbins ran one though.

well, I don't think holding 185 mph in it all day will be in my future...... LOL Maybe 85 mph in the 1/4 ?? :D My wife wants to get started on it... I think it's in the back "40's" till Spring...

Not 100% sure but with a late 70s B body I think the small block motor mounts bolt right to a big blocks mounting ears and it bolts right in.
