Beside's Tony peeing in the corner (again...)?

San Francisco is flat-out BEAUTIFUL! I highly recommend visiting there if at all possible.

This is the view out of our window. We stayed at The Argent on 3rd. & Market. WAY too high-end for my tastes, but my Mother-in-Law sprang for the room. Who am I to complain? :)

Whats San Francisco without at least ONE cable car picture? They actually turn these bastards around by hand....

OK, all you grey beards should know what this is, right? In the 60's this was the center of the Hippie counter-coulture. While I was standing there I missed a once-in-a-lifetime photo-op of a VW Beetle covered with flowers waiting for the light at this intersection... too bad! This particular area is where the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, and other 60's performers all rented places to live. And in typical over-the-edge enthusiasm your Pal John did something pretty stupid in broad daylight in honor of all our Hippie friends. What did I do? Well, it caused my Wife to run in another direction in case I got locked up....:drunken:

E-mail me your guesses....

Speaking of getting locked up, Alcatraz....

Whatta place.... How people survived in this place is amazing....

This is sooo diametrically opposed to where we were staying at the Argent that words cannot express it fully. Wow...

It's a beautiful city... try and get there if you can!

John, I'm glad Jimmy boy said "ate a lot of crab" cause he's ex-Navy and I don't think they "ATE" a lot of crabs, they mostly just caught them. :)

Hee-hee-hee, will that too! :thefinge:

John. Glad all of you had a great time. I'm up in the bay area alot with my latest job and I just love it. Monterey bay area is also a great vacation spot to check out if you have the time. Lots of beautiful scenery. When you guys were checking out Alcatraz, did you meet an author selling his book on Alcatraz? One of my upper management directors sells his book out there. It is the most informative book of Alcatraz in the world. Excellent book(and video). Oh, and just guessing, did you light up the chronic? Jim

Looks like you and Amy had a good time, congrats.!

I sent that DVD out to you on Thurs. so you should get it anyday now.

Yes, we saw the gentlman selling his book. Unfortunatly we had to run & catch the 12:45 boat so we could meet with Amy's Mom & Brother for lunch. They did the Bay Cruise instead.

Yeah, we had a good time. Sadly her brother is suffering from a problem with his liver that has him on some medication that knocks him on his ***. For the most part, we all had a good time.

Thanks again for the DVD.... Looking forward to seeing it.

Nice pictures there John. I was about 12 years old when I went with the family to Cali. Landed in LAX and went South from there down to San Deigo. Stay for a few in San Fran. Very very cool place. Used to have an Aunt in Oragne county someplace. Since moved. But we stayed there for a week.

I also have to recomend a trip there. Awesome all the way through.

This is the infamous "Dummy Head" scenario used in the escape from this very cell. Unfortunately the cell was plexi-glassed off from people causing the nasty reflections. In the back ground you can see the grating removed and the opening in the wall.
