What is differene between PH43 and PH18 Fram oil filters?

It's not PH-18, it is PH-16 that interchanges with PH-43, along with many others.PH-16 is 3.69 inches tall. The PH-43 is 4.05 inches tall.

I think the Ford FL1A has the anti drain back valve. I have used them plenty of times on a small block with a 90 degree adapter. I use a gray scuff pad to get the Ford logo off, and then put a Mopar Performance sticker on it....lol.

I'd rather see a Ford filter on a MoPar than a Fram. Wal-Mart SuperTech filters are MUCH higher quality units than Fram! I run the SuperTech ST-2 on my Ford...

PH43 and PH16 have the same base and diameter. Both will work on a small block. The PH43 is a bit shorter and gives extra clearance for headers.
