What is the most desirable year for the Dart?

-
Not looking for personal preference here but rather, your impression about what year Dart would be considered the most desirable.
1969 because it had the most model and engine options. Something for everyone.

again, not your personal favorite, but what year you think the majority would pick.

holy old *** thread..

there is no one answer for all.. some like the 70 most and that would be most valuable to them. others like the 68 and 69 better so its most valuable to them... look up selling prices if thats all you are after.. obviously a 68 hemi dart has probably sold for the most money but its not like that was a regular production vehicle. so my answer will be the 68-70 darts are most valuable. and within those years it all depends on driveline. the big block cars will bring the most money followed by the 340 cars.

I say 68. 67 hat too many one year only parts. I think 68 tail lights were better implemented than 69. Though- I would have liked if they carried the round front turn & round side markers through to the tail lights something along the lines of the 68 Charger (coincidentally I think the best year Charger). If you step to the performance version, I like the 68 power bulge hood inserts better, and the understated tail stripe vs the 69. I do prefer the black over the argent on the 69 "mag" wheel covers though, but most people wouldn't flinch at black on a 68. Who am I to talk though, I've got rallyes on a 68.
I convinced myself to buy a 67 383 drop top Dart I saw for sale, but when I went back it had already sold. Snooze you lose.

Funny, I didn't even notice how old this was until after I commented. Might be one of the oldest resurrections I've seen, time span wise.

Ha i don't like the round turn signals
Just wondering how much faster was a stock 383 over a 340 car
I always thought the weight over the front wheels weren't worth it

I’ve had a 67 GT, 68 270, 68 GT, 7071/72 swinger 340s, 71Demon 340, 72 Demon 318, 74 sport318, 74 360/4 gear. My favorites is my 68 270 and my 70 swinger 340 cars. I still have a soft spot for my D Dart. Kim

As a owner of a 69 I would say 68,69 are close in choice but I do like the 68 marker lights becauce it a one year only thing and they light up unlike the "stupid" 69 reflectors I also like the lower dash pad of the 68s as far as the 68 hemi cars go I never cared for them because of the rear wheel well butchery.

1968. It always seems to me that a person always likes whatever they owned first-any car, any year. On the 68, round marker lights, round front turn signal lenses, first year for 340, full GTS tail panel, the 426 Hemi, the little dash shelf, the 68 GTS badging, the 68 340 manual trans cam. My first Mopar was a 68 GTS 340, 4 speed. I love that car, still have it. Now I have a survivor 67 Dart 270, a beautiful car, but I still like the 68 better.

64.. then 67-69.... that's bout it... Also.. bonus for slant 6 or 273/318 car..... you can build them however you want and not worry bout having date coded air in the tires like a crazy person....

I like the 68 and 69 a lot, but my personal favorite is the 70 and 71.

I do like the rally dash i guess was only 70-72
Was aways thinking swap one into a 69

I’d say on body style alone.. 67-69.. as an owner of a 68, it’s to be expected but.. out of all mopars the 68 Dart always had it in for me.. round side markers, round turn signals. I’d say drivetrain is a wash today since you can put whatever ya want in them now. I wasn’t around when these things were produced new. Just the 67-69 2dr hardtop body style always great looking to me without having the physical size of B body. Aerodynamic? Not so much.. it’s like a rectangle on wheels but that’s what I like about it. Even more so with some rake to the stance.

The L023 model is just a bonus in all of that.

Within the a-body groups on FB, the 70-72 seems to be more popular when it comes to the 2dr hardtop. You see them far more often at least. I dunno if it’s just because of production numbers or they’re just more popular. I never cared for the slanted back that started in 1970.. if I was to pick a post 69 body style, it would be the duster/demon or even dart sport..

But yeah, 67-69 is where it’s at!!

Funny cause the rectangle turn signals is why I like the 69 best ....but never really liked 67s
68 is ok....
My fave is the 69 gt trim that runs ontop of the body line....on my 4th 69 so might be a little one sided
