I hope this doesn't get me into trouble somehow, but what is this thing worth? I was going to run it on my 68 Cuda with 340 , but I have decided against it. I'm going to
stick it on Ebay, but I don't know what to ask for it. Its complete , and linkage moves just fine. Being a four speed carb I think MAYBE it had a dashpot (??) , I don't know but there's not one on there now. I have not opened it up to peer around inside. This isn't an ad, don't ask to buy it, its going on ebay.

Needing nothing but a rebuild $750+. Rebuilt it's 750-1200 for a show piece. My two cents worth having bought a few.

I just looked at a 4972S 71 Thermoquad looked new with a solenoid that he was asking $1500...

Collectors piece for a numbers matching collector car. Very sought after . Those $1500 carbs were near mint. a nice one with an I don't know whats inside description $300-$700 if you find the right 2 bidders. Put it on with a reserve and let the bidding begin. post a link to the auction so we can watch. Take a picture of the inners ,If its nice it will bring a lot more money.

The only way to get top dollar is to send it to get restored from scott harms...js...then it's a collectors piece...I bought one for $325 and could barely get it sold for $450 about a year ago because I knew nothing about it's condition...core

If you have this solenoid, which is a one year only, I've been told go from $300 to $500 ? Apparently used on 440 six pack cars as well. Probably the reason for the crazy asking price. I paid $295 for my 4972s thermoquad. After the $500 plus resto it's closer to $900. Maybe this might help.

Yes the number is 4972 s. I got it off a craigslist add for a ton of various carbs .All sorts. Got it for 15 dollars. Wish I had known more because I could have looked in the Thermoquad bins for that Solenoid. I still have the guys number, maybe I will go back and look around.

Those are some crazy prices, I just paid $175. for a '72 340 T-quad. Would be interesting to see if you can sell it for that kind of money. For me, it's a you want to keep it price.

Well, that's still a crazy price, part #. Guess that I shouldn't have sold the carb and intake from my '71 Demon for for $25. back then. Oh well, I get the next guy.

Just be careful, you post here that you have this carb and don't know what it's worth. I can bet someone will contact you behind the scenes and try to buy it. You might sell it for a lot less than it's worth.

I offered....as a core. It'll cost 500^ to get it right, for class/drag racing or show-poodle. I have 2500 in my Competition-Series, 1000cfm.
