What's included with the GT models?

I'm looking at a '66 Dart GT for sale and was wondering what I'm getting with the GT badge.

That's what I'm kind of figured. I'm doing a suspension upgrade on my son's 70 valiant. I've been visiting every page on this forum's suspension section to learn more (i'm up to page 75).
I have not seen any mention of any "special" suspension that I recall.
Still, I do like the center console of the GT.
I might have to bite the bullet and buy it.

far as I know, in those early As, GT was nothing more than a trim option, ( if wrong, someone can tell us), I has a 63,64, 65 all were slants,
just tell the "know it all" at the car show, your GT was a hemi car, but ya got tired of the mileage and s wapped in the slant! LOL

Dart GT was same as Valiant Signet. 2 dr HT or conv, bucket seats w/floor shift and highest level of body trim. 225 /6 or 273 v8. More or less the Barracuda interior. But unlike the Barracuda Formula S, everything else was optioned separately.

GT = Grand Touring, but as mentioned was just a trim level. Some GT's had slant engines and 9" drums. The nicest parts in my opinion were the front corner chrome stubs w/ red, wht, & blue detail, and the top rear cross-piece which allows either a vinyl top or a two-tone. I plan to paint my roof white w/ body light yellow.

I didn't know they added the S models in 66, I thought it was a 2nd gen a body thing. My 65 GT came optioned with everything you might find in the sport package, but it is still a basic GT, with cool options. HD suspension w/10" brakes, torque boxes, hp exhaust, dual point 4bbl 273 and a 4 speed.
